Some of you may or may not know this, but there is a live-action Captain Planet film in the works. Will it be edgier with more grit, I have no idea! What I do know is that the people at Funny or Die decided to take advantage of this recent news and put their own all-star cast for the roles. Don Cheadle is Captain Planet, along with Brenda Song (Preggers!), William Moseley, and Gillian Jacobs playing the Planeteers. I couldn't stop laughing, "Captain Planet Mother Fucka!"

Making The Smart Phone Even Smarter!!!
The creative minds at Layar had already created a augmented-reality browser, but now they have decided to add a visual search to its features. All you have to do is point your phone's camera at an object in the real world and a specific digital activity will occur.
Your probably asking yourself what is a specific digital activity? Well ShiNigglers I will be glad to explain this phenomenon in better detail so you don't leave here confused. If you were to point your phone at a pair of your friend's new shoes, and a buy button may pop up. If your looking at some historic monument and might want some more information just point your phone at it and a video will start to play. In the video below you see a person reading a magazine and he uses the program to on the article, giving him the option to share it on social media.
Layar's augmented-reality browser will be available within the upcoming months for both iPhone and Android phones. If you don't have either, then you don't have a smart phone; NO BlackBerrys don't count.

Avengers New New Concept Art
The newest concept art for the upcoming Avengers film. If you remember from my previous post I complained a little about how Hawkeye wasn't wearing a mask. I guess they heard my complaints and decided to put some shades on him to protect his identity as a shield agent. There was a little show called Smallville that went the same exact route with the Green Arrow.... Deja Vu to its fullest. At least in Smallville the Green Arrow would sometimes wear a hood, all well enough with my ranting, check out the picture and let me know what you think.
Extra: Also pay attention to the new Hulk look....Does he look Hulkier or just plain older from the last incarnation?
Avengers Assemble!!!
Does this look familiar? Guess Marvel thought the mask would be lame on Hawkeye and yet Captain America didn't change much.

The Force is Strong with George Lucas'......Daughter!?
There hasn't been word from George Lucas himself, but that hasn't stopped his daughter from attempting to use the iconic theme song of the franchise. Powerhouse was planning on using the song as her walk in music, but changed her mind last minute. In the interview below she talks about her upcoming matches.
Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D Trailer
I am a bit late on this, and I take full responsibility for it. I was watching an anime earlier today and the trailer for this new Tekken film came up. I think what got me the most excited is that the screenplay for the film was done by the same people that brought us Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop. Watching this trailer brought the same chills to my spine, much like Final Fantasy Advent Children did a few years ago. Enjoy the Trailer, and the bear we all know and love...KUMA!

Final Fantasy XIII-2: Narrated Trailer
I am possibly one of the hugest Final Fantasy fans out there, you know minus the actual MMO version. I don't know what they were thinking with that! If they offered it free maybe I would give it a shot, but you don't come out with something like that and off the bat start charging an arm and a leg! But I digress, a narrated trailer was released for Final Fantasy XIII-2 with producers Kitase Yoshinori and Toiriyama Motomu letting us know some of the new features we should be excited about. I honestly loved the Final Fantasy XIII, I wasn't much of a fan for the story and the fact that everything was linear; but the gameplay, artistic design, and soundtrack was simply amazing. Okay well from what I just said, I actually really enjoyed the game, and hopefully they fix the problems the previous one had. Well I talked enough, check out the video for yourself (If your not into subs, this isn't for you).

Steve Jobs Out The Job?!
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Altair & Ezio Gameplay & Commentary
I am beyond late when it comes to catching up on the Assassin's Creed game series. I am on the last mission of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood as we speak. Don't freight, I already have Revelations pre-ordered and will be enjoying it with everyone else as well. The footage below is of not one, but two missions of the game, from start to finish. In the newest installment Ezio is finds himself re-living important moments in the life of Altair. So now in turn that should mean that Desmond is re-living Ezio's life who is re-living Altair's life which should mean Desmond is getting double the work done in half the time. Confused?! Yeah you should be. This new installment shows some new mechanics, like the ability to not only be able to use bombs, but create them as well. I just hope they keep the Assassin's recruit on standby like Brotherhood, I felt like a true boss sending them in to do my dirty work. Either way I am excited to see how the story ends, the one thing I love about a great series is an epic ending.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Trailer
I was up late last night and I ran into this little gem from some of my favorite people at SEGA. I watched the original Aliens film and had nightmares for weeks, now more then 20 years later those creatures still have the capacity to scare me. I am not usually into games that can actually terrify me, but this looks really good. I remember wasting hours on end trying to get far in the original Aliens game for Super Nintendo, mind you I said far not beat. THAT GAME WAS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Lets just say I went through many controllers that year....sigh. Well I have talked enough, check out the trailer and don't be afraid to let me know how you think.

The Notebook Guy To The Rescue
When he isn't making kissy face to Rachel McAdams (I SAW HER FIRST RYAN), Ryan Gosling is saving the day. In this amateur and accidental footage, a girl catches him getting in between a fight in the middle of the street. The fight was over a vendor saying a man stole his painting, in a very batman-esque fashion Mr. Gosling swoops out of nowhere dropping his groceries in an attempt to stop the fight. After pulling the two apart he offers the man 20 dollars (Painting only cost $10) and then kept it moving. Bruce Wayne may have some competition real sooooon! Watch the video below!

Tron Meets Duct Tape?!
So during one of my many journeys throughout the world wide web I ran into this hilarious Tron inspired Duct tape commercial. If the Light Cycles are rolls of tape, does that mean the Master Control is equivalent to Office Max? Let me know what you think.
Laser Keyboard That Clicks!
I am not sure how many of you remember when BlackBerry had their promo team come out with the touchscreen BlackBerry that 'clicks'. Some may wonder why this is such a big deal, the truth of the matter it truly is. Currently dubbed the Cube Laser Virtual Keyboard, the brilliant minds at Celluon and ThinkGeek decided to use the same kind of concept and idea with the virtual keyboard. Hearing a clicking sound makes a difference, in the sense that once you hear it then you know you performed some kind of action. It is less likely that you will miss out on a letter or hit that phantom button when you can hear the clicking sound go with each key stroke. Obviously a virtual keyboard is a brand new experience for some and adding this feature may make the transition easier. Its Bluetooth connection currently is compatible with iPad 2, iPad, iPhone and iPod; Android, Windows Phone 7, and BlackBerry smartphones; and most laptops. The device is priced at $170, but hopefully soon it will drop in price as it gets streamlined into society. One day soon we will have this outfitted as part of our Tablets...I am excited, how about you?!

Hanging with the Actors for Spiderman: Edge of Time
Laura Vandervoort is an actor quite familiar to the comic book world. She was a reoccurring character on the hit show Smallville. Who was she you might ask? Well she was none other then Super Girl, the female counterpart to the Man of Steel. She also played the alien with a heart in the recently cancelled ABC series V. She is mixing both these personas and giving her voice to the red-headed bombshell we all know and love, Mary-Jane Watson. Also among the cast of voice actors is another veteran of the DC comic world, and his role was a bit more iconic.
Val Kilmer's most famous comic book role was portraying the Dark Knight, Batman. He will be lending his voice to the main antagonist Walker Stone. The videos below are their respective interviews.
[Update] So I recently finished Battlestar Galactica and found this amazing lust for a certain Kara Thrace (also Boomer and Caprica Six....mmmm, I digress). Well I wasn't aware of this but Katee Sackhof, the actress that plays Kara will be in the upcoming Spider-Man Edge of time... even more of a reason for me to buy this game. Can't wait to here her moan, for strictly cat reasons of course...haha enjoy the video and stop fantasizing!!

Wacked by A Wacker
I was about to title this, "parents just don't understand", but I knew I could be wittier. Yashesh Desai is being charged with first degree murder for killing his father with a weed wacker. Reports say that he repeatedly hit is father over the head with the wacker. It was about 3 a.m. when the Woodridge police responded to a phone call from Yashesh's brother. According to the brother, Yashesh went to the father as he was asleep and began beating him relentlessly. I mean SHEESH, Yashesh tone it down, by your picture it's obvious you smoke weed and well I could make a joke about that...but my inner self is like "Too soon man, too soon..." Tell me what you think.

Games Dropping This Week
No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise is about Travis Touchdown (Yes the name is awesome) as he rises through the ranks of the assassin's guild. Many of you might remember the name from the Wii version which was released a couple of years ago, and if your wondering; yes they are the same game. The Wii version had a direct sequel which the PS3 version will never see. Don't think of that as a huge let down, the PS3 version is a combination of the first and second Wii version, so more game for your buck. I sat their jealous as my roommate played the title on the Wii and I am excited to finally be able to dust off my Playstation move wands.
I am not sure if you all know this by know, but I am definitely PS3 biased. I am not going to tease you with this title and not give you a list of all the games coming out this week, across all platforms.

Vital Sign Monitoring Through The Skin
The massive amounts of electrodes that are attached to you in the hospital may be a thing of the past! Researchers have developed this small tattoo like film to be attached to your skin and perform the same functions as that wiring. To truly give you a perspective of the size, imagine it being thinner then a diameter of human hair. This electrode device can stay on the hand for about 24 hours, but researchers say that it can last up to two weeks before it falls from normal human skin shedding. The device doesn't only monitor vital signs it can also monitor brain waves, muscle movements, sense the larynx of speech, emit heat to help wounds, be touch sensitive, and attached to onto artificial limbs. A little scary that we may be one step closer to branding people as identification. What do you think?!

Fastest Plane EVER!
Is this truly the fastest plane ever? It is the fastest unmanned plane for sure, DARPA this morning launched this bad boy up into the air attached to a rocket. The plane was clocked at a cool brisk 13,000 mph, if you need to understand that in real world terms; it can fly from Los Angeles to New York in less then 12 minutes. During the test today it was expected to just glide through the upper atmosphere reaching speeds of Mach 20 and landing about 4,000 miles from Vandenberg. If you want to a look at the science of it check out the video below...my Geek senses were tingling all over this one.

I Guess Rebecca Black Is Looking Forward To The Weekend
Rebecca Black has reportedly dropped out of school because she didn't feel safe in her environment. Rebecca says that as she walks through the hallways of her school students would yell mean things at her ::Playing the world's tiniest violin::. When she walked by people would begin singing "Friday" in a nasally voice or scream out to her "Hey Rebecca, guess what today is?!" I actually chuckled as I read that statement. Apparently, enough was enough as she has decided to drop out of school and begin the grand adventure that is home schooling. I don't know how I feel about that seeing how being a teenager is the toughest time of everyone's life. I wouldn't know, I skipped that part of my life completely. Kids will be kids, and of course your going to get teased about something. When she gets older she look back at this and realize that they were making fun of her for being famous....seems a bit backwards right?!
At this point I would have probably posted the Friday video (felt like changing it up), this goes out to Rebecca Black!
