Vital Sign Monitoring Through The Skin

The massive amounts of electrodes that are attached to you in the hospital may be a thing of the past! Researchers have developed this small tattoo like film to be attached to your skin and perform the same functions as that wiring. To truly give you a perspective of the size, imagine it being thinner then a diameter of human hair. This electrode device can stay on the hand for about 24 hours, but researchers say that it can last up to two weeks before it falls from normal human skin shedding. The device doesn't only monitor vital signs it can also monitor brain waves, muscle movements,  sense the larynx of speech, emit heat to help wounds, be touch sensitive, and attached to onto artificial limbs. A little scary that we may be one step closer to branding people as identification. What do you think?!
