"I Am Alive" isn't quite dead yet
A few years ago (2008 to be exact) I remember reading a magazine with a full spread on an upcoming game called "I Am Alive." The premise of the game was that you would be in control of a man surviving a huge Earthquake and his struggle for survival. He would find himself fighting for items like a bottle of water for rations, as well as a flashlight to survive at night. New information on the plot leaked that he is actually on the hunt for his family, talk about pulling at the heart strings!
The United States' Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has been meeting to discuss the rating the game will receive. Drum roll please ::Plays Drums!:: The game should be receiving an M-for-Mature rating for "Blood, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language." Honestly it's hard to read that and not think to yourself SWEEEET. Some of the reasons for the M rating is because of the melee combat which will include "finishing moves" like; Throat-slashing, impaling, and pistol-whipping. Why pistol-whip when you can shoot... guess the game will have limited bullets. Sadly I don't have a release date just yet, but with them rolling out with the rating you should be expecting it sometime late next year!
