The Real Life Shrek
During one of my wonderful voyages around the World Wide Web I ran into an article that caught my eye, is it true? Who knows, is it interesting? HELL YEAH. The crazy thing about this photo is that I can see why some would believe the iconic green ogre is actually based on Maurice Tillet. Maurice is a very intelligent university graduate from France. He is the farthest thing from a swamp peddling monster, he spoke 14 languages, played chess, wrote poetry, and had aspirations to become a lawyer. His dreams of becoming a lawyer were shot down when he was diagnosed with a rare pituitary disorder that caused his bones to grow uncontrollably. His disorder is the reason that his physique favors that of the Micheal Myers green giant.
After he was diagnosed with the disorder Tillet decided to take advantage of it and go into wrestling. He was known to the world as "The French Angel" but his audience would refer to him as "Freak Ogre of the Ring". Tillet passed away from a heart attack in 1954, at the age of 51-years-old.

Nightmare on Mortal Kombat
I am sure I could come up with some very funny little joke about this, but I am still in shock. It was just announced that Freddy Krueger will be a downloadable on the Playstation Network. He will have his very own story and ending in the Mortal Kombat arcade ladder mode. This is just something amazing I had to share with my fav ShiNigglers! Enjoy the Video!

Japan vs Antarctica
Not much to report about this besides the fact that this is just interesting news. The Tsunami that ripped through Japan also ripped off about 50 square miles of ices fro the coast of Antarctica. I thought our only problem was global warming, go figure.

No Sperm For You....
I truly feel like singing the song weird science as you read this post. Malaria is an infectious disease of humans that is transmitted through a mosquito bite. It is Primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions and is a major problem in Africa. Although London is in the news for the recent riots, they have something else news worthy under their belt.
With the creation of spermless mosquitoes, scientists may have found a way to combat the spread of the disease and reduce the mosquito population. Originally researchers at the Imperial College of London didn't think it possible due to the fact that the mosquitoes became weak and frail once exposed to radiation. Recently they injected 10,000 mosquito embryos with tiny fragments of RNA designed to turn off a gene (zpg), which is essential in sperm development. After countless attempts the researchers were successful at creating 100 infertile mosquitoes, and the females mated with these males just as they would with fertile ones. Female mosquitoes are prone to only mating once and lay eggs, regardless of if their mate was fertile or not.
Don't get too excited about not having to carry around bug spray just yet. The researchers say that the process to create these mosquitoes is too labor intensive and it would take too much of an effort to get the right amount out to the population. Hey, one step closer is still one step closer for science. What do you think!?

Epic Stop Motion Fights!!
So I was doing what I usually do, and that is search the net for you people to see (Did he just say you people?!...YUP). In my search I ended up on the youtube page of count656, and fell in love with what I saw. The last time I enjoyed stop motion, was over 10 years ago, and it was the Nightmare Before Christmas. The two videos that I am going to spot light are: Cloud vs Sephiroth and Ryu vs Ken. Enjoy, and check the youtube page for more goodies.
